Our Fabulous Partners

ClimbingQTs has partnered with a number of different gyms and brands to bring you discounts, special deals and new opportunities.

ClimbingQTs and Redpoint Climbing are very excited to announce a scholarship program for our members who are keen to get their feet into some brand new climbing shoes.

Each month we'll be giving away a free pair of shoes (pending size availability) to one member. This scholarship program aims to support LGBTQ+ climbers who have limited or low financial access to rock climbing shoes and in turn support their participation in our activities.

Fostering a diverse and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ climbers is a key organisational value at BlocHaus Port Melbourne (BHPM). They aim to provide an environment that is welcoming to all humans regardless of their gender identity or sexuality. BHPM’s other goals are to create a space where LGBTQ+ folk can be themselves, feel supported to learn new skills, participate in climbing activities, and find a sense of belonging in the community.

BlocHaus Port Melbourne entered into a partnership with us in early 2020 to work together in supporting a diverse community — including hosting events, developing resources and raising awareness around key LGBTQ+ issues in the outdoors.

The QTs have a special place in their hearts for Climbing Anchors — they were one of the first businesses to support our initiative while we were still establishing ourselves. We’re excited to announce that we are continuing and strengthening our relationship by offering even more to our members with a special 12.5% discount on all full-priced items.

If you’ve shopped at Climbing Anchors before you’ll know that their friendly faces and expertise are a welcome refuge for what can be an overwhelming amount of choice in the gear world. The shop transcends a typical retail experience as the staff are always available to provide advice and assistance; Climbing Anchors does not “just sell gear.”

They also contribute to the community in the on-going work that is maintaining climbing routes and educating climbers about cliff care. Bolts, shackles, adhesives, drill bits, etc. are donated regularly in an effort to bolster the natural spaces in the Australian landscape. We feel pretty good about spending our paychecks there and hope you do, too.

We are absolutely thrilled and full of psych to announce ClimbingQTs will be delivering a series of outdoor adventures in the Blue Mountains commencing September 2021.

Blue Mountains Climbing School will be showing you ropes and it's all made possible with the support of The North Face. With their enthusiasm we'll be taking QTs to new heights with shared skills and familiar places because together we believe everyone has a place to thrive in the outdoors whether it's on the wall or at the crag.

We’ve teamed up with TNF across a few states to offer fun events and activities for CQTs members. Have a look at the line up via our Events page or click here for an overview.

At Patagonia, we appreciate that all life on earth is under threat of extinction. We’re using the resources we have—our business, our investments, our voice and our imaginations—to do something about it.

Build the best product

Our criteria for the best product rests on function, repairability, and, foremost, durability. Among the most direct ways we can limit ecological impacts is with goods that last for generations or can be recycled so the materials in them remain in use. Making the best product matters for saving the planet.

Cause no unnecessary harm

We know that our business activity—from lighting stores to dyeing shirts—is part of the problem. We work steadily to change our business practices and share what we’ve learned. But we recognize that this is not enough. We seek not only to do less harm, but more good.

Use business to protect nature

The challenges we face as a society require leadership. Once we identify a problem, we act. We embrace risk and act to protect and restore the stability, integrity and beauty of the web of life.

Not bound by convention

Our success—and much of the fun—lies in developing new ways to do things.

ARC'TERYX IS FOUNDED ON THE IDEA THAT THERE IS ALWAYS A BETTER WAY.

In exciting news we’re incredibly proud to partner with Arc’teryx to support Australia’s LGBTQ+ outdoors community. Over the next year our partnership will fund new adventures, creative events and an even bigger program jam packed with pride, passion and possibilities.

Arc’teryx is our exclusive outdoor apparel partner and this means more opportunities for members of our shared community to connect with nature and experience rock climbing.

Arc’teryx is passionate about ensuring that there is a place for everyone is the outdoors and in climbing, including LGBTQ+ people and the allies that stand with us. Together we’ll smash barriers, challenge heterocissexism, ask questions and start discussions.

We couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.

Paddy Pallin was founded on the value of making the outdoors a more accessible place for all people, no matter their walk of life. Fast forward over 90 years, Paddy Pallin celebrates the diversity in our people, thoughts and culture, and we strive to make the outdoors a more inclusive space for everyone.

We are committed to the inclusion of all people no matter your race, ethnicity, culture, sexuality, gender, religion and ability. We believe all people deserve to connect to nature and we pride ourselves on finding the best route to include everyone. We recognise the systemic barriers placed on people from diverse communities to get into wild places and we aim to challenge the current system to create a more fair, equitable and diverse outdoor community.

 The path:

We recognise that our journey of diversity, inclusion and equity will be ever growing; our first steps aim to support diverse communities through a balanced representation of people in the outdoor industry by way of developing our policy and advocacy agenda.

We accept that we have a leadership role within the Australian Outdoor Industry and we are thrilled to be taking the necessary steps to increase our knowledge and awareness to do better.

We will continue to partner with organisations, communities and individuals to strengthen our place as allies of all people and the natural world.
